It's weird (some would even say funny) how there are certain recurring situations in my life. Maybe by saying that I'm over-generalizing, but I can't help but feel the some of the similarities between now (richie, me, jackie, thad) and then (steve, me, lesley, sean)Of course there are staggering differences in the types of relationships I have with each of the people involved now compared to then, not to mention how different each set of people are, yet there is this almost unnameable feeling that links the two causing me to feel echoes of the old frustration and confusion. I suppose this is not entirely a bad thing, because by remembering what happened last time I can keep in mind the mistakes i made and try to avoid them now (regardless of how futile this may sound)
I think that if i want to get rid of this difference, i must make a conscious effort to separate the two in my mind (maybe a good starting point would be to compare each now person with their then counterpart...or maybe that's too simplistic to be really effective)
I think that what i need to focus on is that now there is a lot more communication between everyone involved, and that i'm not afraid/unwilling to talk about what's happening.

Richie is probably coming back for saturday's STOMP at victory lounge *yay*
we had a wonderfully lovely hookah party at my house yesterday with my dad and jackie
